Viewpoints and Composition

This 2-day workshop is for anyone with interest in acting, movement, listening with the entire body and exploring your creativity on the floor with a group of "actors"/fellow participants.

The Viewpoints is a movement improvisation technique that develops embodied awareness to time and space and helps a group of actors become an ensemble. It is based on the deconstruction of linear drama into the immediate presence of the here and now. The Viewpoints originally grew out of post-modern dance and were adapted for actor training by Anne Bogart and her NYC-based theatre – SITI Company.

Based on the Viewpoints, Composition is a playful way to create original material for the stage through embodied group improvisation.

During the workshop, you will develop and practice these techniques and use them to create short scenes and movement sequences.

This workshop is in English, and no former knowledge of The Viewpoints and Composition is required, as long as you as a participant are open for spontaneous interactions with others through time and space.
