Back to the basics of Clowning – play, presence, and openness.

Playfulness is the necessary starting point necessary for clowning. From this starting point we can develop our clown presence and openness: The Clown-State.

In this 2-day workshop we will develop and explore the clown state and its connection to play. With games, exercises and improvisations, we will find the fundamental presence of our clown and then improvise with it to create moments of clown performance.

This workshop is open to everyone, regardless of age - with or without experience!

Teacher: Ofer Ravid
Ofer has taught clown, acting, and physical theatre internationally for over 20 years. He is the founding director of Red Nose Academy, a founding member of Ludico Theatre and has done extensive research into clown training and humanitarian clowning.
