Physical Storytelling – the expressive body
YOU CANNOT USE A DISCOUNT CODE FOR THIS WORKSHOP.
This Saturday workshop is for anyone interested in understanding how to create meaning through the moving image of our body in space and time: How do we create silent situations that tell a story without words? How do we make live moments on stage that create clear meaning before we even open our mouth to speak?
In this workshop, you will learn ways in which you can tell stories through the body. You will explore how the movement and stillness of our body/bodies can create environments, atmosphere, images and meaning. Based on physical-theatre techniques such as Lecoq and Viewpoints, you will investigate the body’s creativity in time and space.
Participants do not need to be performers or trained “movers” and there is no need for previous knowledge or experience. All you need is the will to use your body and physicality in space and the openness to explore.
Workshop duration: 1 session of 7 hours (excl. break).
Workshop language: English
